i use xubuntu 20.04
my hardware is : 700-15ISK Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80RU
One day (maybe after an update, i can't remember) the ctrl button seemed to act strangely, then it suddenly did not work anymore. Using xev i can see no signal is picked up when i press ctrl; what is stranger is that both ctrl buttons seem to create no signal at all in xev. shift button works. i may add that no physical damage is visible on the button, nor when i press it.
I had problems with fr keyboard previously which i recently solved by adding "setxkbmap fr" to my home profile file. But the ctrl button was not working (and still is not working) before I made this (home/.profile) change.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem ? / as i code on this laptop it really is difficult to code without the ctrl shortcuts.
