So I have scoured many message boards and have not been able to come up with anything that has worked for solving this issue. Windows 10 machine running Chrome, and when in a Google Meet I am unable to directly share my screen. When I click on the Share button, I get the options of Entire Screen, Window and Tab, but no matter which I click, nothing happens, the button just greys out. When I close out the meeting, the error message "Can't share your screen. Sorry, an error has occurred when screen sharing." I have tried all of the following with no success:
- Clearing all browsing history
- Resetting teh browser back to default
- Checking to make sure Google Meet can use the microphone and camera
This does work in other browsers (Edge) but I need this to work in Chrome, since that is the platform the school uses. Something else of note, if I open a Google Doc or a Slides presentation, and then choose to present in a meeting, it will show that tab just fine. But I have to have the tab already open and share from there, not where the Google Meet is. If I try to open any other option, I get a different error message "Something went wrong. If you're sharing to a meeting, please select the current tab and try again. To share other tabs, go to Meet > Present"
I am attaching all screen shots I have mentioned.
